This was a day of inspiration for me, first while I was exercising, and later as I sat down to write.
Write Something Every Day
Just call me Writer Rosie, I guess.
Well, I'm not sure I would go that far yet, but I did write something today.
This afternoon, I grabbed my laptop, and headed upstairs to the bedroom. After closing the door, I settled into my comfy chair and enjoyed the quiet of the room. Then I started thinking. I thought about which story I wanted to tell.
A chapter in the Bible came to mind and I opened my Bible and read some verses I have read many times before. I was so inspired by the words in Ephesians 5, that I wrote and wrote and then...the Scientist came in for a chat...and then it was time to make dinner.
So, I'm looking forward to tomorrow when I might finish my first story devotional. And I have to say...I'm fairly excited about it.
Exercise Every Day
First thing this morning, I headed to the basement for a walk on the treadmill. I walked a little longer (33 minutes) and a went a little further today than yesterday. It may not seem like much, but it was pretty good for this girl.
While I walked, I listened to the second part of Beth Moore's talk on "A Fresh Advent - The Divine Interruption". This was a good one! Much of today's teaching was about the story of Zechariah and Elizabeth in Luke 1. As you may remember, they had to wait until old age to finally receive God's promise of a baby. Beth shared that just like Zechariah and Elizabeth, there are many people who go through trials and much faith to receive something that others seem to receive easily.
Here's my favorite quote of Beth's from today's teachings: "Blessed are you when what comes naturally to others, comes supernaturally to you."
Wow! Beth has such a way with words. What a way to think about going through a trial. If you are going through something that only God can fix, then blessed are you.
Are you going through something that seems to be much more difficult for yourself than others? Then trust God. He's in control and you will be greatly blessed.
